PhD / Postdoctoral Position in Continuum Mechanics for Growth and Remodelling in Soft Tissues, Linköping University, Sweden
The Swedish Research Council has recently approved funding for the project “Continuum mechanics for growth and remodelling in soft tissues”. In view of this, we are looking for a doctoral student or post doc in Engineering Mechanics. A good background is an MSc (or PhD for the post doc position) directed towards mechanics and/or mathematics; knowledge of relevant parts of physiology is meritorious, but can be obtained during the course of the project. The project is being undertaken in cooperation with medical expertise.
The appointment is given for one year at a time, and will be renewed yearly subject to successful performance of duties. The PhD programme corresponds to four years of full-time studies. The maximum time for a post doc position is four years.
