USA: Postdoctoral Scientist in Molecular Mechanisms of Synapse Formation, Yale University

Postdoctoral Scientist in Molecular Mechanisms of Synapse Formation, Yale University, USA

A position is available for a postdoctoral scientist interested in studying the molecular mechanisms of synapse formation. We are investigating the roles of trans-synaptic adhesion molecules in the organization of synapses in the CNS. The structural and functional plasticity of synapses and the signaling pathways that operate during synapse assembly are two areas of specific interest. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and a relevant background. Experience with live imaging of neurons in vitro and in vivo, electrophysiological techniques or mouse models is important for this position. Yale University offers a highly interactive neuroscience research environment and is an equal opportunities employer.

Please submit a letter of interest that includes research experience and career goals as well as a CV and names for three references electronically to Dr. Thomas Biederer at thomas.biederer[ at ]yale.edu
